No More Nylons is sponsoring the Women’s Business Socials to promote vibrant, worthwhile conversations between women in business.
The Socials create a free, professional network, to bring the AMAZING women together to talk, connect and promote the work they love doing. That’s what No More Nylons is all about. Doing the work you love… and being who you are. If you’re new to town or even visiting, this is a great way to soak up the local flavor and get to know the women that make this town purr…
You’re invited to meet up with Women who run companies big and small or just have a creative entrepreneurial spirit to do what they love in the world. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have a little support? This gathering brings together an amazing resource of women. Women have joined us from as far as Corona, Thousand Oaks, Simi Valley, Santa Monica, Santa Barbara, Pasadena, Carpinteria, and Los Angeles. (One month had a woman from Colorado and Vancouver, Canada!) Local residency is not a requirement for attending, it’s just one of the perks of living here. If you’re visiting or nearby, you’re invited!
No RSVP, no fees, nothing. Just show up! Life’s complicated enough. This doesn’t have to be.
No PETS. Even the small cute ones. Please leave them at home. We’re in restaurants and places that have health code requirements. So don’t take it personally.
Questions? There’s a whole page of Frequently Asked Questions, that came directly from people like you. I’ve heard that it all sounds too good to be true. But to me it just makes sense. My intention is to create a fantastic gathering of amazing women, and just let us socialize and connect the way we naturally do. That’s all. No weird presentations or elevator pitches. Over 130 women attended the June 2011 Social at the Watermark in Ventura. (Biggest to date was Sept 2010 at The Lavender Inn, in Ojai, California!) Most months have about 50-100 attendees. No kidding, we mean business… Share the love. Bring a friend, your business cards & brochures or just bring yourself, and relax… You’re in good company.
