Even when you’re out having fun!

So here I am, in one of the most beautiful places in the world, Beaver Creek, Colorado. While at the local coffeeshop before hitting the slopes, I met a woman who’s launching her new company. We really hit it off. We talked about her new product, how she’s marketing it, and what her plans are. We decided to stay in touch; she gave me her business card.

Now, I don’t know about you, but this is just another day of work for me. And I LOVE it! I wouldn’t want it any other way.

I’ve had people sneer and ask, “Ick, are you always working? Don’t you ever take time off?”

Look at me! I’m literally on top of the world! It’s the greatest gift I’ve ever imagined… to get to talk to people about their work and what they love to do. I love to know what people want to be known for.

So remember, have a good time. Be yourself. Reach out, talk to people. Celebrate successes. And most importantly, follow up and stay in touch.

xo,

PS Here’s the transcription of the video, if you’d like to read along…

“Hey this is Jodi coming at you from the top of the Beaver Creek in Colorado. It’s been gorgeous… and I know this sounds crazy, but just this morning I met a woman at the coffeeshop who is launching her new  business and wanted to exchange information.

I just wanted to say, you MUST  have these things (business cards) on you at all times! You never know what possibilities are going to come up, this opportunity and that is just an incredible way to connect people when you’re Doing what you love and a beautiful place like this.

I know it’s strange. I’ve had people ask, “so do you ever stop working?”  If this is “working”,  NO, I never want to stop!

Sso I wish you all the best & stay in touch. And remember, have your of your business cards on you all the time, even when you’re out having fun!”
