How many books do you read a month?
According to an article in the January, 2014 issue of the Atlantic Monthly, the Pew Research Center reports:
23% of American adults read 0 (zero) books last year! That includes paperbacks, audiobooks and books on e-readers!
That blows my mind… FYI, 28% read 11 or more books last year and the remaining 49% lingering in the 1-10 books/year.
I read about 2-3 books a month… when I’m traveling, I listen to another book or two each trip though audible.com. I’d actually like to get up to reading a book a week.
10,000 getAbstract Book Summaries free for 3 months
I just added a new resource to my “tool box” to staying current with all the business books that come out! Starting today, Get Momentum members receive a free 3-month subscription to getAbstract ($90 value) which has the largest selection of finance and business book summaries that are just 5 pages long. I can read 5 pages… even when I’m busy! You can download their summaries to your e-reader, iPhone/blackberry, and some books even have audio summaries (which I love!).
You’re welcome to click on Get Momentum and check out the super-supportive business and professional development membership community that my husband Jason and I have put together. It’s a place where you can tap into a professional community of people who are life-long learners. We make monthly lessons on one topic at a time, so it’s never overwhelming. And you get to do a deep dive into the information with a monthly Town Hall webinar plus Special Reports and in-depth interviews. By now, you may be wondering how much it costs.
