I’m visiting Portland, OR, Mammoth Lakes, CA and Marin, CA in the next few weeks. And I’ll have a lot of “down time” while I’m driving, waiting and flying.
I love listening to books while I travel.
I just finished listening to The Obstacle is the Way by Ryan Holiday. And LOVED it.
Instead of asking yourself, “Where am I stuck?.” consider asking yourself,
“Where do I want to be innovative and creative between now and December 31st, 2017?”
(that’s NEXT Dec 31…)
This quote by Maxwell Maltz makes me thing of the struggle and stuckness,
“We are built to conquer environment, solve problems, achieve goals, and we find no real satisfaction or happiness in life without obstacles to conquer and goals to achieve.”
We need the struggle. Even though when we’re in it, it SUCKS…
Make a list of at least 10 things you aim to solve, conquer and achieve by the end of next year.
Spend your precious time, energy and effort on what you want to happen over the next 384 days!
FOCUS, CLARIFY and CREATE the outcomes you WANT to achieve.
PS And, speaking of Innovative Thinking and Creative Work, DECEMBER’s Get Momentum theme, Master Class and upcoming Peer-Group Coaching Call support you in looking 12-24 months into the future to set yourself up for the success you want to experience.
